The European Commissioner for Home Affairs announced the Entry/Exit System (EES) will start on November 10, 2024. This new system will require non-EU travelers to register bio metric data when entering the EU, replacing traditional passport stamps. Alongside EES, the European Travel Information and Authorization System (ETIAS) will launch in early 2025, affecting visa-exempt travelers entering the EU for short stays
