Canada’s Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) scores
Express Entry candidates out of 1,200. Up to 600 points are awarded for factors
like age, education, language ability, and work experience. Another 600 points
can come from additional factors such as provincial nominations, studying in
Canada, French skills, or having a sibling in Canada.
Canada recently announced it will stop awarding extra
points (50–200) for arranged employment. This change may impact candidates who
depend on job offers to boost their CRS scores. Eligible candidates must work
in skilled occupations classified as NOC TEER 0, 1, 2, or 3.
