nursing shortage, with 10,000 expected to come from India. As Italy aims to
fill 65,000 vacant nursing positions, India has been prioritized as a key
source. Currently, most foreign nurses in Italy come from Romania, Albania,
Poland, and Peru. Italy also plans to ease regulations and open Italian
language centers in India to support qualified Indian nurses in meeting local
requirements.
