Malta Tops EU for Graduate Employment in 2023
Malta has the highest
employment rate for recent graduates in the EU, with about 96% finding jobs in
2023, according to Eurostat. The country faces labour shortages in 20
occupations, including manufacturing, healthcare, and hospitality. This high
employment rate surpasses the EU average of 83.5%. Following Malta, the
Netherlands, Iceland, Germany, and Austria also have high graduate employment
rates. Meanwhile, Italy and Greece have the lowest. Despite Malta’s success, it
still needs more workers due to its small population. This trend highlights
Malta as a promising destination for new graduates seeking job opportunities.
