Norway faces labour
shortages in 193 occupations, including cleaning, healthcare, construction, and
IT, according to the 2023 EURES report. Foreigners skilled in these in-demand
roles have a higher chance of securing employment and a work visa in Norway.
Some of the jobs with shortages include garbage collectors, kitchen helpers,
butchers, and mechanical engineers. Norway is among the six EU countries with
the most occupations in shortage, making it a prime destination for foreign
workers. Additionally, learning Norwegian is considered easy for English
speakers, which could further ease the transition
